"I noticed before but did not pay too much attention to the fact that when I dilute my 95% brew I get a heat rise from the mixture. The other day I diluted a gallon with distilled water to bring it to 40% and used a thermometer to measure the heat rise. From 60 degrees it went up to 70 in the space of a minute. Any comments on this from the more exterienced distillers?"

Any comments on this from the more exterienced distillers? Yes and deedy. It is recommended that you always add the alchohol to the water to cool it off. For the very best mix, you would allow this to MARINATE and marry for at least a month. I have a hard time waiting that long."
