"First a little background: I am fairly new to this; I have run 6 batches so far. All have been very good to great! I bought the Turbo Stomper and have been dissappointed with it. It leaks and the quality is not very good. The drink was great though. I am considering the PSIIHC. The more I read the better I like the idea and reviews it gets. As a newbie I continue to read as much as I can on the subject. However, I am not comfortable with the workings of a reflux still. Am I being paranoid, or is it easier to figure out once you have one to work with? I have been reading all the blogs and books and I think I understand the theory of the process, but not comfortable with diving into another major purchase if I will not be able to make it work. Any ideas would be apperciated."

It seems more intimidating than it really is. I went with the HC2Pro with no prior experience and had no trouble picking up the art. You will need to invest a good amount of time in reading, both here & homedistiller.org. Once you get it we can give give you detailed tips on operation.

"Well it has been since September, I have been to Florida and back, read almost continuously about this, drank all I made last year and ran another run on the junk set up. I finally bit the bullet and my new PSIIHC arrived Friday!! Today I am starting a new batch of mash and will be insulating my column this week. I will report when batch is finished. Many thanks to all here for the advice and tips. :) Our forefathers would have been shooting by now."
