In pot distillation, unlike reflux distillation, you will not maintain a static temperature throughout the distillation process. Pot distillation does not force reflux and pull such a refined product. Instead, it is about making cuts based on temperature, proof of distillate, and experience.

Well in pot mode you don't use the cross tubes. You only use the liebig condenser. You control the temperature by adjusting your heat source.

Obviously you are new to the craft. If you want to expand your knowledge I suggest you start here: http://distillers.tastylime.net...rror/Org/static_menu.htm"

"Depends upon whether you are stripping or not. If stripping then run the heat heat up & take everything that comes out until you get to water.

If you are pot stilling a flavored liquor then you have to control the heat to control your take off. If using the hot plate then you need a router controller off of ebay or a variac. As BR pointed out - reading is your friend, although we will answer your questions - with a little abuse Tongue"
