Is it OK to include all your initial spirit (heads, hearts and tails) in the pot for a 2nd distillation? And is it more purified once you do a double? (Or do you still need to trash the heads and tails on 2nd distillation?) Thanks

"The jury is out on collecting fores on a strip run.
I did. And now I do not.
When stripping, collect everything. No cuts needed.
Run as hard as your condenser and/or water supply can cope.
Then for the spirit run, dilute to no more than 50% abv and make your cuts accordingly.
To me, ""pure"" is not an adaquate word to reference when talking about making likker.
ABV goes up with each pass through the still. Flavor (good or bad) goes down with each pass through the still."
