Has anybody had any problems with their measuring devices from brewhaus, reason i'm asking is because out of curiousity i put sky vodka in my testing tube and insurted my alcoholometor and recieved a reading of 38 proof, which completely freaked me out. it was an unopened bottle, and it was definitly proof not abv.

It is very possible that there is a bit of glycerin (or the like) added to give the vodka more body, and that will increase the density of the liquid, resulting in a low %abv reading.

I have a few Alcoholmeters and Hydrometers from Brewhaus and they all are accurate and function properly." |
