"I want to convert my boiler from propane, to electric. I've obtained the correct sized water heater element for the job, but cannot locate a stainless steel 1"" N.P.S. half coupler to weld onto the keg. Anyone have a link to such an animal?

Cheers,
Tom"

Brewpal...go to McMasters-Carr industrial supply and theres a phone number there. Call them and they will direct you. What you want is a S.S. half coupling that will fit hot water heater thread (tell them that) I think I spent $6 on the piece and $5 on shipping. That was some time back but it should'nt be much more.

Thanks, but that won't work. That isn't a NPS compatible connector. I actually contacted McMaster-Carr two weeks ago and they no longer carry a coupling that is compatible to a male NPS. You can put a male NPT into a femal NPS, but not a male NPS into a female NPT. Cursing
