Someone recently bought me a reflux still as a gift. I have no interest in vodkas or gins. Can I brew bourbon with this still? It's a brewhaus pro series II. Please say it's possible. Whiskey is so good...TY!

Brewing whiskey with your still is simply not using the reflux.

"Bourbon is not a distilled recipe, by that I mean ---- its a process, not how you distill your wash (kinda).
Bourbon is made by running your likker (grain or sugar) and then aging in a oak barrel for several years to extract the wood flavors and tannins and such.
Now most Bourbon makers say the grain bill should be 51% corn and other grains to fill the bill. You can make a nice neutral likker and use extracts to make a pretty good Bourbon flavored hooch. Just something to think about."

"Only seen pics of the rig. The condenser seems smallish for a good strip run.

But with practice you should be able to make a good drop. Detune by not using the packing and try and run the rig using power management.

A tooth pic sized stream for a pot still would be preferable for most pot stillers. Some run with a broken stream...

No matter,,,,,,better than no still at all by a long shot."
