j744..I know you said --cooled to room temp== but did you take a wash temp??? Inside the fermenter might have been too hot for pitching yeast. If it has'nt started yet well that might be something to think about. And yes you can add more yeast, its cool enough now for sure. That Turbo yeast should be bangin in the airlock if its working.

"15 lbs of sugar within 6 gal of total volume.......10 lb would be a cleaner ferment and render a better drop at the end of the day.

You could split em up and re- top to bring back up to volume.
Me? I'd find a new recipe."

"I've found 48 hour turbo yeast likes higher tempuratures than most peoples rooms (except in summer, maybe.)
It has worked best for me between 80-90F."

It might be fermenting but your lid to your fermenter isn't down and sealed good and the Co2 is taking the path of least resistance...the lid. I had the same problem awhile back and was wondering why my airlock wasn't bubbling. I saw the lid was not snapped down all the way, I snapped the lid down and within 15 minutes the lock was bubbling away.
