I have run many just {sugar} washes before: everything turned out great now I would like to change the taste if possible by using half sugar half corn meal &for a five gallon wash. My question is how much corn meal, what type of corn meal and how much sugar do I use?> Also will the reflux just turn out the same?

I'd use about a pound and a half of cornmeal, boiled. About 6-7 lbs of sugar. If you want a corn whiskey taste don't reflux, just run it in pot still mode. There won't be much taste if any if you reflux.
