Im confused. What kind of corn do you sprout. Deer corn? sweet feed? Where do you get it? I would like to try something other that sugar washes

"Sisco..try the sweetfeed likker before delving into something like sprouting kernals and all that. Its prolly easier to buy corn malt than it is to make it yourself. Brewhaus sells it I think?? If not it can be found. Sweetfeed (or horse feed) can be found at any animal feed store and any bag of feed thats not a pellet will work, its the mollasses that you want and the grain will add some goodness to the wash. Its really a confidence builder when it all flows right but when it crashes well......the sweetfeed and Gerber washes are the next step to the grain mashes. If in fact you decide to go the grain route well there are recipes that you can try. Read through the Whiskey thread or go to
Homedistillers.org and look at the Tried and True recipes."
