I don't know much about this yeast except I think it's a wine yeast. I see that a lot of liccur recipes or shine distillers are using this. Is this a good yeast to make shine?

"It is capable of fermenting a wash with 18% Potential. I do 16% with it often for straight ethenol in a sugar wash--vodka.

Whiskey a grain based product could possibly be a bit diferent because you want to save flavor. Not that ec1118 is not good for whiskey but there are diferent strains that are suposed to be better at bringing out flavor sich as ec1122


Shine is ususlly corn likker. and you want some flavor there. I never did corn likker only irish moonshine which is basicly made from malted barley.
