Ok think I have stumbled over a good question here. My little perspective brew house man-cave is real close to the cement pond. I have been thinking of trying to make a round trip on the cooling water to and fro the pool via a small sump pump. Sure I aint the first to have faced this situation. My pal say it would depend on the temp of the pool water..which seems plausible. As in right now it is colder than heck but by next summer it can get up to 90 or over. Do anybody know what the temp of the cooling water would need to be to cool it right? Thanks in advance. This would be considering using the brewhaus fancy model if that helps do the math. Sure it has to do with the size and efficiency of the cooling coil..ambient temps etc. I might also want to try this with my ho made 2" model if I can ever find the plumber some free 3 inch copper pipe.

Thanks a lot for that info. Sorry it took so long to find your response. The pool is currently covered with a non porous tarp and is low on water, so the present strategy is running the water from the outdoor faucet to the gizmo and back into the pool with garden hoses. I can find a little room under the tarp to snake a water hose under it for the return. I am trying to do a vinegar and water run to spiffy up the insides. I tell ya the instructions on how to hook up the water control mechanism is about as clear as mud. Kindly keeps your fingers crossed that I do not blow something up. I called the folks this morning and left a message asking if I could bring it over there and somebody who know whats up to check it but they did not call back. Imagine that:) I hooked it up as good as possible for a non mechanical minded rookie. I can see why folks criticize the CM design..its a pain in the bootie. Hopefully the plumber get that one built which uses the needle valves. If yall dont hear back from me its prob cause I kilt myself.
