Well as some might recall I had a leaking hose where it attaches to the column. Took it over to Brewhaus yesterday and finally met Rick. He is a real person for them who were getting skeptical. Real nice guy too. Anyway he replaced a hose and pressure tested it for me. Got home and found two more leaks but by that time I knew how to fix it myself. Their little clamps seem to put a dent in the hose and makes it leak. So I cut off a little of the hose end and reattached and no leaks at present. Just put about 5 gallons of my cornmeal flavored sugar wash on to cook. Its been locked down for about a month. All the corn meal seemed to have settled but the liquid it was still milky white..so guess there is still some floating around in there. Its only came up a couple of degrees in the past half hour and is sizzling like somebody deep frying chicken. If that a sign of something? Revamped my previous thinking a bit. Game plan now is when it hits 80 to cut the hotplate down to half power and try to bring it up slowly. Noticed on the vinegar run on full power once it hits 80 next stop is 214. Hopefully can catch it before getting plumb out of hand. Noticed I forgot to put the little chain in the bucket. Hope it dont blow up:) Anybody got some tips I'm receptive to hearing. Thanks.
