Hi All,
I have read and been told a few things that I"m still confused about.

The Boil off temp of a reflux still. I have only cooked off one wash so far and it was at 80 deg C ,176F,. I was told by a mate that I shouldn"t go over 82 deg ,179.6F, . So I adjusted the water flow every ten minutes or so to maintain this. From this I got 4.3 litres at 73%
I still wasn"t happy with this so I added water to bring it back to 20%, and recooked it at the same temp. To which I ended up with 3.3 litres at 85%. Now the smell was much better, with no swampy smell. And it tasted sharper. Now after reading some of the posts on this site, some say that the temperature variance between 82deg C - 92 deg C ,179.6-197.7F , is acceptable. Am I doing this right?
