I made home made wine with an old man a couple of years back and he made great wine with out yeast. It was wild fruit wine. I was looking for a wine recipe for watermelon wine with out yeast. I know this site is about distilling alcohol. But I have searched the web and this is the most knowledgeable site I have fount. I am hoping some one here can help me.

Thanks

grapes have natural yeast, so if you added both watermelon and white grapes, it would probably ferment, eventually. Probably be a slow ferment though

There is the possibility that the wild yeast will make vinegar. Wine can not be made without yeast. SOOO Less than a buck for some wine yeast. EC1118 works well.

Ec 1118 is great for vodka."

Thanks all much help. I may go with a yeast recipe I have. I know I have made wine without yeast and it was the sweets wine I have ever had. I may try on batch with out yeast and see what I get. I will let you all know what I come up with. I am going to make about 30 gallons this year 5 gallons at a time. I am growing my own watermelon. So no worry on where the fruit is coming from.
