"Ok guys, I"m growing extra corn in my garden this year. I know this is a bit early with 60 days to go. Do I need to dry the corn first? Is there anything that I should do to the corn at all before cutting the kernels off? Do I need to remove the kernels at all?
Help and ideas are welcomed.
Thanks"

"looks like there no farmers here that make their own whiskey. wiki In wet milling, the corn grain is steeped in water, and then separated for processing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_ethanol"

Never used sweet corn for hooch but I bet it would work well. All that sugar in silver queen or a peaches and cream variety would have to make good hooch.

There used to be a recipe floating around that used frozen bags of corn - I made it once and of course the corn is for flavoring so when your corn is up and harvested givera go. Go to HD website and I'll bet someone will give ya a workable recipe or if you ask here - you'll have to pick your way through all the bs to get something you can use but givera go and see what you get.
