Use a little copper packing. 1 or 2 rolls. Adjust the heat till you get an ouput the size of a pencil lead. If it gets more frisky turn it down..if it sulls up and dont come out efficaciously turn it up. Throw out the first cup of product. When the output turns cloudy and stinks like a wet hound dawg..that is called tails. Some save them to run another day..some chunks em. I am of the chunking persuasion. Since I have the ball valve on the condenser input and love to use it..I give it just enough to keep it a cooled down a little. I do not like to drown it. Best of fortunes on the project. PS..Also be sure and shut off the water valve or whatever you use to keep any water from trying to go to the column. No sense to waste water.

"with a handle like orange sunshine you gotta be in Fl. someplace...me too. Remember a reflux run will strip yur flavor so for more flavor try the pot stillin mode next time. It should be pretty easy to set it up in the pot mode so givera go with yur next rum run and I bet you'll get more flavor careover."
