If you buy a barrel from Thousand Oaks, it will arrive in an unholey state. Gotta drill your own holes. I'm still trying to figure out how best to drill the tapered bung hole.

i just received my new barrels and they are beautiful. my question is if it take me a month or so to make enough booze to fill them can i just store them dry since they are brand new or should i fill them with water until booze is ready?

I believe that you are suposed to fill them with water so they swell and stop leaking.. They will leak at first so check them often,.

After they swell then see how much you need to keep them full. Those sneaky angels dring water too."

"Rut row. Do this mean a person has to go a month without drinking any hooch to save up enough essential extractions to fill the barrel? Then you got to worry about it leaking out and the Angels swiping some? I dont like the sound of that deal. Bound to be some kinda risky scheme..commie plot etc.

Smart thinking Sir. I bet its just the old Evil Angels which engage in that hooch pilfering scenario. Regular old Nice Angels dont drink..least that I ever heard about. Maybe Catholic or Lutheran Angels might enjoy getting a snoot full..halo full or whutever. Not sure they have snoots come to thunk on it.
