So I had made about 8 runs and kept the stinky tails....ended up with approx. 8-9 qts. These ranged from 70 to 30 proof. I threw them back in the pot, and what I ended up with was some of the best tasting 160 proof I think I have tasted. Make you wanna use a putter off the T-box of a par 5 hole. I knocked it down with some peach water to 120 and ended up with almost 2 qts..........don't think I'll run for a day or two...........When I do and get those tails, I'll be saying oh yeah.........Wink

do you also re run heads or do something else with them???:)

The combination of heads and tails are called feints.

Save all your feints to re run.. This is standard.


I even save the first 850 ml of heads for the feints jug. Then i use the rest of the heads to make imitation whiskeys.

What year hog you have?? :)

There you go!!!!! I quess that is where my logic and reasoning has been costing me. lol I just figured that the methyl ethyl bad stuff was always gonna be just that, and if I kept concentrating it I would just end up with larger amounts of methyl ethyl bad stuff, shows what I know!!!!!! lol I'll give it a try next time!!!!!
