I am about 30 mins away from total column heat up. I am running a 12qt pot with a 24" 3/4" column on it with an 850w hot plate. In the past I just I have just crancked it on high and left'er alone. Got some bad taste out'a my last run, happened before. Would I have any advantage of bringing the heat up to 155 slower? Quick reply requested? Thanks in advance!

Dont think so. Keep an eye on the output. Pencil lead sized or fast steady drip. No use to poke around on heating it up that I can see. Keeps us posted.

Thanks Big, I knew someone more intelligent then me would come through!!!! I'll just leave'er on high. On the 850w plate the pot takes a smooth hour to reach the condensor and I have always got a good steady pencil lead size discharge broken up every now and again by some really quick drops. Thanks. I'm still checking on those camp grounds for ya!!!!!

What a deal Sir..thanks. Mama has been naggin at me to snag a new camper trailer. Would love to come up there and get caught up on the dumb Texan jokes yall tell each other..lol.

You got'er Big.....the run was freaking Awesom. Jump up to the my first run thread and the results are ther. I am gonna set up again right now to see if it was just a freak run or what. i'll keep you posted. This is that stuff I spoke with you about a week or so ago. Member, I threw some more momma's milk at it?

Ok sounds good. I was planning to be industrious and run a batch today also but now I am nearly out of the notion. Its hot in God's Country..lol. I do not like to percipitate if its avoidable.

Sounding mighty special. Guess since the cocktail hour is already underway might as well have a wee dram myself. I'm currently sipping on some cm/rye which started life as 170 proof or close. I forget to check it..kick kick. Then it had a scrubbed lime dunked down in it for two days. Then it got eye ball proofed to what a person might think be around a hundred or so. Might be bit stronger than that..could not be no weaker. It sorta like drinking hooch with a twist of lime. The yups love it. Figgered out it can make a person real silly real quick..lol.
