"Since this is a ""No cook"" method will I need to keep stirring the contents until the sugar breaks up? Once the 5 gallons of water is added does it need any further attention (stirring) or should I just cap it and put an air-lock on it?"

I was thinking I boiled water or close to it added cracked corn and continued to heat stirring every few minutes for about 30 minutes, then let cool. I think I boiled water and added sugar. Mixed until disolved, then added to the corn and let sit overnight or until down to 90 degree or so. Next added yeast and such... Its been a little while and didn't write that part in my notes!

I sorta picked up on it close to Heeler's method. On coarse grain stuff like SF or cracked corn should work similar..is boil up the sugar in the water then dump that over the feed. Stir it briskly with the pant stirrer..let it set for a few hours covered..then top it off with hose water and start the fish bubbler going to get it aerated and cool down a little quicker maybe. Then pitch. If your using fine grain stuff..CM springs immediately to mind for some reason..I have found it easier to mix the sugar and meal together first..then dump the boiling water over the combo. Found out the hard way if you dump boiling water on straight cornmeal it turns into hard yellow turd looking critters. Cornmeal mush perhaps? They can be broke up eventually but it just generally a pain and takes forever sometimes..especially if all you got to work with is a spoon..lol
