Well I dont know exactly what happened on my first batch of my LME but almost all of it was stinky like it hit the tails the second jar. Now the latest 5gal batch I just finished off tonight was excellent. Overall I got 58oz of good likker ranging from 53-66%. I kept the tails from my previous runs and added them in. Right now my pot is running and has about half a cup of the tails coming through. Gonna get a jar of it and probably close it down. Its a bummer though its still coming out about 50% but just got that smell ya know.. Anyway very happy with what I got and ready to start sipping.

Edit: Well my jar of tails that I started filled up at 53% also and doesn't have to much of a foul smell after a double filtration... I'm gonna let it air out with the rest and go ahead and use it I can't waste a whole jar of something that strong because of a little smell. Hell the next jar is already almost half full and may keep it also.. So far now I have about 6 jars from this 5 gal batch with a few jars of tails thrown in.. Feeling pretty damn happy with this batch.

.. The next jar I said I may keep is 40% which fell way out and smells pertty bad.. gonna have to re run that one.
