Hi, I had these two recommended to me by JB (thanks, JB). "Making Gin & Vodka" by Jon Stone "The Compleat Distiller" by by Michael Nixon & Michael McCaw These are great books for anyone just starting out or even experienced distillers. They cover just about anything you would need to properly build and run a still designed for just what you would like to make. The Compleat Distiller also includes a good history of the different types of stills, how they are made, how well they work, and what they are good at producing. I highly recommend them both. Todd

Nice read. Lots of interesting switches. I have an automatic dual voltage switch that has been working for a couple of years. I hope tha eventually i will add a dual element control to it-- No electrical plans so far. RSCs and possibly a SSVR are the in things now. The RSC is a triac device and i believe that the SSVR is also although i have not been able to find any wiring diagram for its innards. Wickapedia has nice diagrams and explanations for standard SSRs if anyone is interested.
