"Please consider what the grains you buy are used for. Feed grains especially made for the very sensative systems of horses and deer do not have preservatives - Sometimes theyhave vitamin c which is safe(((SORBIC ACID I THINK) SOME SEED GRAINS HAVE PRESERVATIVES TO PREVENT MOLD AND WILL NOT FERMENT. They mau be dangerous to humans too. I only am familiar with the sweet feed being safe.
More input on this is important to us."

"Crabby, I'm not doughting what you say, I have read that a ---bunch--- of folks have made that birdwatchers recipe and I have too, several times. I did'nt look for seed with no preservatives but now I wish I had. I wonder if anybody got ill effects from it????

I hope the next fella that plans on making that recipe thinks about that fact."
