"Hi sisco,

I haven't gotten around to try a sweet feed wash yet but I was able to locate several sources: equine feed/tack shops and the Tractor Supply Co. When I asked about the sweet feed without the pellets, this is what was recommended:

http://www.tractorsupply...rain-feed-50-lb--5021132

There's a store locator at the top of the page.

Please note that I have not tried using this yet ... but picking up a bag of the above has been on my TODO list. Maybe some of our sweet feed experts could comment on the particular product?

If you get chicken scratch or somesuch as that there prolly wont be any kind of preservatives in that. Its just chicken feed and if they add all the other stuff it would be to pricey to sell. Dont put too much thought into it just get scratch feed or cracked corn and it should be fine.

Duh! ... I had the sweet feed recipe stuck in my head for some reason ... rather than UJSSM. Thanks heeler. Sisco, my apologies if I caused any confusion.
