Ok guys. I have alot of flux and other green nastys in the pot and cap of my copper pot still. I am looking for the best way to get all this nasty stuff out of here. I also wont be able to get into the cap and lyne arm to clean the soldered joint in it. Also is it ok to use a nylon bristle brush to help scrubbing. I cant get my arm in the opening of the pot to far. Step by step instructions would be great.

Run a couple solutions of mixed water and white vinegar through it. Then run a water batch through it. Cleaned mine out real well.

Yep, what dasorge said, I do about 2L vinegar with 5L water. For the exterior I use a teaspoon of citric acid in a tub of water, soak it over night then give it a good scrub with steel wool and dish detergent, comes up really shinny .
