Does anyone know of any Moonshiner festivals in the south eastern US this year? I'd like to make it out to one this year.

it's against the law so there would be no festival, but you might want to try the fiddlers convention in Union Grove, NC. I know there are a lot of people that sell it there. It's usually in May

"Well lets modify our thinking a little bit.....there is in fact a Moonshine Festial in Dawsonville Georgia every year in October. You can find it online...
you know (awsome Bill from Dawsonville--its a NASCAR thing) but no they dont sell hooch out in plain veiw but I met Mike Haney (Big Mike of Hillbilly Stills) there and also set up at the festial was the Mountain Moonshine company ---the one that sells in Gatlinburg Tn.
I was told that there are 4/5 of these type festials throughout the year so I bet if you research online you 'll find em."

Actually if you find that little search box up top and type in --Road trip this weekend, johnnyapplepie started a thread about a trip he took and I added some stuff to it. But I was at the festival that trip and added some pics to his thread so givera look its kinda fun and gives proof that they actually do have moonshine festivals.

come to florida. we will supply the decorations and you bring the hooch. :) :) The florida bunch is very southern hospitable

I was thinking that I read somewhere that there was some festivals held each year. I ain't wanting to buy any hooch (i have my own). I think it'd be great to mingle with like minded folks who share a common interest and maybe check out other distilling equipment. Nothing illegal about that. Heeler it was you that went to one last year i forgot about that. (I had a few drinks since then). lol
