Finally was able do my vinegar and water run. Just finished up. Let it go for about a hour and then added water to my flake stand to condense it back down. i noticed that when it was condensing that i would get a stream for a few sec then nothing for like 30 to 34 sec then another stream for a few seconds. What would cause this problem. The next question i am wanting to run my sac run asap. How long do i need to let the pot cool before i take it apart my connection for the cap and the condensor so i can rinse all the vinegar solition out of it. Also the pot had some green flux i assume in it. The output was clear. Did in clean this right?

Is your worm or coil in the flake stand always downward flowing? If you have a high point, then the distillate will back up until it will finally flow over the high point.

I would say until you can safely handle the equipment.

I cannot answer your third question.

Like the post above me..check your worm for a constant down flow. Pour a tiny bit of water into your worm..if t doesn't flow down and out them you have an up rise or flat spot. This can cause slight back pressure.

As far as the flux goes just soak it in vinegar water and baking soda. That should remove most of the flux..from what I've read flux is not toxic. But do not quote me on that.

Fill it with sand or salt and Rebend it making sure not to kink it lol which is easily done.

Hi ericg, how is your worm/coil set up, or suspended? Do you have something holding up and seperating each ring of the coil? You can use small blocks of wood placed at an even distance in between each coil to create a constant downward spiral.
