Just bought the book Moonshine and a hydrometer from BH and am currently fermenting a liquid barley malt recipe that I found in the book. The idea of distilling barley didn't sound that good, but thats what I had on hand along with a package of Turbo Pure 24 yeast. I only added enough water so that the potential alcohol level measured 17%. Can anyone tell me if barley liquor taste any good?

Hi Frank, if you like scotch it will. If you don't like scotch you can send it to me, or if you want to you can run it through again to take more of the flavor out. That assumes your running a pot still that will leave some flavor in it.
