"OK The forum rules say that all new members are allowed 10 stupid posts. This probably is one of them. I am reading everything I can find and I know some of what I read is pure bull. I can say I know some and some probably gets by me. Here it is...

I was reading a website that claimed a good pot was a domestic hot water heater.

http://www.gin-vodka.com/mgequip.htm

Please tell me why this is a bad idea. I would say that there is a big bottle because of the ¾ in water inlets. What other problems do you see besides people selling garbage on the internet. Or do you think its good?? Please give all your thoughts good or bad.

Camo build???? It would blend in really good in a house."

That's a Canadian web site, up there and in other countries they have more access to all copper hot water heaters. The ones in the US have super thin copper tanks coated with vitreous glass. The pic below is a hot water heater still from New Zealand. In Ian Smiley's book, Making Pure Corn Whiskey he shows you how to make one from a US hot water heater.

One thing I can think of as a problem is, how you going to clean it. In and out pipes are usually 1 inch.
Also what is the tank made of? I know some are glass lined and some are not. Also the only copper tank water heaters I'm aware of are made in Europe not America.
Let us know how it goes.
