"I got distracted while making a sugar wash and added too much sugar, I didn't catch the error until I took off the trash today and saw all the sugar bags. Should have used 10 lbs. instead used 18 lbs. Didn't take SG too big of a hurry wash is locked down and bubbling away is there any way to save it or is it trash? Might help to know I used a 1/4 cup baker's yeast.
Thanks, Yurmo"

what is the size of the batch?? on a 6 gallon batch, 18 pounds of sugar would give you about a 15 % potential

That yeast is gonna leave it kinda sweet prolly but no worries, if it stops working and its still sweet you may have to buy a more aggressive yeast or just run it. Its been my expirence that bakers yeast will not eat that much sugar but so what, get more yeast or run it, live and learn....
