Ok guys have a big problem. Just got up to find that my fermenter that i have a canned peach ferment going in had bubbled some peices of peach and foam up into the s type airlock and forced all the water out. I cleaned up the mess and am using a 3 piece air lock with a piece of grain bag over the hole to keep the peach pulp from getting into it. Some foam is getting in but no pulp. What do i need to do to fix this. It has been going since saturday night with 3 packs of regular bakers yeast. Can anyone adivse me?

What i am trying is i had a piece of vynal tubing that was the same diamater as my gromet in my airloc. I ran it into a gallon jug almost full of water. I am still getting some pulp and foam in the tubing but it seems to be working ok. Should i continue like that or dip some out as heeler sugested. The line was the only thing i could think of before i got a response..lol

Use a blow off tube from now on. On a carboy, use this:

and a length of tubing. Dip the free end of the tube into a cut off milk jug or something 1/2 full of water so you dont get anything back into your wort. Stuff can blow out/off of the fermenter but nothing can get back in.

Like this:

thats kind of what i am using chris. but i am using a 1/2 gal jug almost full of water to run my hose into. should i switch to a gallon jug half full or just leave what i have. I cant use the tip that u posted since its a bucket fermenter. but the vinal line fits in the gromet pretty good. How far should the line be in the fermenter?
