How do you guys clean your column paking

Copper? I was just cleaning some myself.
Get a small soup pot, and put enough water to cover a couple plugs. Add a cup of white vinegar and two or three tablespoons of salt. Bring it to a boil. That should clean it right up. Pull it out with some tongs and wash it under running water or it'll tarnish again. Dry it by wrapping it in a towel and shaking it around a bit.
