Hi Everyone! I am starting a craft distillery in Oregon. I look forward to visiting with you all and fleshing out some ideas I have.

It is a custom made 55 gallon, 4" column, built by Rainier Distillers in Washington. I will post some pictures. I have limited ceiling height of 16' so we did a modular column. I can break it down into a short column and run it as a pot still, or take it up to 14' and a double column for high proof. It also has a gin basket for infusions. We ran it up at a friends distillery in Washington and made about 50 gallons of a single malt whiskey.

I just relocated to the Oregon coast in Charleston near Coos Bay. I found that Oregon is far more small business friendly than Washington. Their laws pertaining to the craft distillery are also more permissive than Washington's. Washington has a 51% local grown requirement that really restricts the small distilleries in what they can make. They certainly don't grow sugar cane in WA and it is rum we wish to start with, so here we are.
