"So I am going to be following a recipe for a vodka. The recipe calls for dry malt to be added. What kind of malt do you suggest I get?
When looking on BH website they have about 5 different kinds of malt.
Also if you enjoy humorous, very light reading about home distilling you should check out this book. ""Home Distiller's Workbook"" by Jeff King

If your just going to do Vodka the 6 row will suffice. For beer I prefer 2 row. The major difference being the size of the "kernels" and the husk around them. 2 row is plumper, fewer kernels per pound and therefore less husks. The reasoning is for the runoff, the husks will stick together causing the grain bed to be more dense slowing or possibly stopping the run off. Also, 6 row will tend to be a bit higher in protein, causing the beer to be cloudier if not taken into consideration.
