That was what I was getting at. I was using those for examples. They know people are buying distilling equipment and it's not illegal to do so, however they still arrest people for it. Now do you get what I'm saying? They're being hypocrites about it. Request granted for editing because it needed to be alot more simple than I had it written.

They arrest peeps for setting it up and distilling w/o registration or a permit and then selling the product. And to me, it's more than just the tax thing, it's also a health thing too. While it seems repulsive to us to sell tainted or poorly made spirit, a crimnal could care less and is only about money and volume.

Exactly my friend, and being illegal also tends to drive the criminal enterprise. They don't want home distilling to be legalized because in their minds, it would take away their income which is nothing but pure greed. They even voted against the 21st amendment (it repealed prohibition) because of their greed. This mentality gives us a bad name and it makes our cause more difficult as well.
