Definitely not enough info.. please post this on the website. You need a starting and ending specific gravity reading-- not an alcoholometer meter reading

I'd tell them to run it and see what they get. If it was bubbling, there's probably alcohol."

I agree. There's really not enough info to give a clear answer, but from what I can see her formula is way off. Here's the formula I use and I've gotten some really good results using it as well:

The amount sugar and yeast she used is for a much larger batch. Here's what she needed to use:

#1: 25 gallons of water
#2: 30 Lbs. of sugar
#3: 1/3 cup(s) of yeast

We also need to know more about her process/method of mashing in. Can you please ask her to describe what steps she takes when she mashes in? Thanks.

I bet he used the wrong hydrometer (he stated alocohol meter) and I say that just because he picked THAT recipe to construct. There is no dought in my mind that it created etoh. I say run it but I bet it will be canal water unless he runs it thrice and then puts it through carbon.

Yeah it probably won't be any good without doing a couple of stripping runs and then a refining run. Definately will need some filtering. They'll have to run it to be sure.
