Ive got my seperation temps down, but last batch got alittle oil (did flame test got some orange tips) question is how long (in time) should it take to get 50L of sugar wash to correct temp (the body) learning how to determine cuts need advice. running propane heat, last run 50L took approx 45 mins to get to roughly 175F

"In my opinion you can't make reliable cuts with the temp of the still (depending on your still) -- cuts are made with your nose after you've collected all your distillate and set it aside for 24 hours or so to air out.
As to how long...thats impossible to say cause I dont know how you run your still or what you use for cooking.
The orange flame prolly means you had tails in your likker - and you did'nt make good cuts, did you collect in one big jug or lots of small ones????"
