"This is a great recipie for beginners. The costs are low and it's super easy to make. If you can't make this, then you don't need to be distilling. Here's what you'll need to make a 5 gallon batch:
11 Pounds of white table sugar 5 gallons of water 2 cups of mashed rasins 6 packs of yeast or do a yeast starter
Using a large stock pot, bring half of your water to a low boil and add 10 pounds of sugar. You should have 1 pound of sugar left which you'll use after distilling. Next add your mashed rasins and allow the mixture to low boil for 15 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the remaining water. Once the mixture has cooled to below 76 degrees F, pitch your yeast or yeast starter and allow the mixture to ferment for 7 days. Once distilling has been completed, add the final pound of sugar and enjoy.
I recomend 90 proof (45% ABV) for this mixture."
