"There are several versions of the recipe but I wanted one that was really quick and easy and this is it. All you need is the want to to make this happen. This is a confindence builder if ever I've found one. Givera read cause summer's on the way and this will go great with the trip to the beach or out to the park when the wardens aren't looking. It actually descizes itself as good ole lemonade. I'll give you the material list and the layout. "

"This is the goodies and the pot I use to combine everything. It's big enough to hold 2 gallons but it dosen't need to be that big cause all the liquid combined is only a gallon, plus the 40 oz's of likker. I heat this up but only to melt the sweetner so NO it's not cooked just heated. And whilst it's in the pot and you are making the sweetness to your liking turn off the fire. Just get it hot enough to melt the sugar. I like mine kinda sweet and tart for easy guzzlin....now if more lemon flavor is what you want then use less water until you get that just right combo. "

Heeler, I just wanted to say thanks for this recipe. I made it a few weeks ago for the first time shortly after you posted this. I loved it. It kinda to me taste like a margarita. Since then i've made three other batches. I have about four quarts in the fridge now ready for this weekend on the lake. I do add a bit more sugar to mine to get the bitterness down. But once it sets in the fridge for a few days she's ready to drink. Again Thanks!!!

If anybody is interested......I found that the lemon pulp kinda makes this look well....unappealing, so what I did was strain the hooch once it's made and that removes all the pulp or I should say most all the pulp from the hooch. It just seems to look tastier when it's clearer, anyway try you might like it. Tim

One more addition to the uses of this recipe....You've all heard of a lemon or lime wedge in your Corona beer well pour a shot or so of this in your beer.......that's the ticket, sure makes it yummy. And I think they even have a name for it ---- A Loaded Corona. Edited by user Monday, January 26, 2015 5:46:33 PM(UTC)

I lived most of my life in the low country of S.C. and we often put it in sweet tea. Makes an outrageous sweet and sour cocktail.
