"Hello to all,
I am from the Tidewater area of Virginia, I have been distilling for about a year now. I have an 8 gallon/ 15.5 gallon boilers and reflux/pot column. I am currently looking into installing a heating element in my 15.5 gal keg. I am also looking for locals and some other places to get malted grains, cooperage, and copper sheet.
See Ya'll around!
v/R MM"

Welcome! Haven't heard "Monster Mash" since the 60's ... Althou I am sure you meant it in a distilling slant... :) Tidewater, eh? Jamestown, Williamsburg, or further up the James? |

v/R MM I'm always curios as to the user names people pick and why? I'm old enough to remember the song ""Monstermash"" and wondering if that has anything to do with username but probably has something to do with the 'mash' part. Song was released in 1962 by Bobby ""Boris"" Pickett. Any others old enough and remember the sock hops of the 60's?"

I do, ccZero... I cut my musical teeth on tunage of that era... My Dad was always after me to play Big Band material, but I wanted to play and dance to the stuff my older Sis and Cousins did back when.. Funny how that's morphed now, some 50+ on.... |

"Monstermash, Welcome to the forum. When I lived down there my wife & I had just met. The first concert I took her to was in Norfolk, at the Scope ... I took her to see Ted Nugent. She was into Elton John, Springsteen, The Bee Gees... that sort of thing. She kept dating me anyway ... so I knew she was a keeper. I lived in Chesapeake, right off of Portsmouth Blvd and worked in Portsmouth ... spent a lot of time at Va Beach ... and Friday evenings at Watersides. I really, really liked living in that area. Lots of fun. That was a long time ago. --JB"
