Does anybody have any advise on what yeast to use with a corn mash (75% cracked yellow corn). We are having yield issues and thinking that they yeast we have been using may be the problem (hoping it is and we can figure it out soon).
What yeast is best and what is the fermintation time on it?
any advice is appreciated.
thanks

I use DADY myself but it might be you didn't get good conversion. What was your recipe?

What exactly do you mean by yield??? Do you mean that the amount of etoh you collect is not what you thought it should be?? I too am wondering what recipe you use. Also did you check your wash gravity at the time you added yeast and when you thought the ferment was done. I bet these folks can help you but help us help you by passing on a little more info......give us the recipe you are using please. And I too use DADY (Dry Activated Distillers Yeast) yeast in almost all washes.
