Appollo, You can not make alchahol without sugar. Be it made from grain, fruits, berries. Just different sources of sugars.

No problem though, sugar is not the culprit for the headache. Study a mite. Its the cuts. If you make great cuts, you can eliminate hangovers and upset stomach altogether (and if properly fermented and cleared and distilled). You will still dehydrate though, and some good vitimines before, during and after will help.

Anyhow, study up, build or buy a still that will give you good cuts and control, and then whatever sugars you use will give you a good product.
