For PSII HiCap if distiller is at equilibrium I believe lowering the temp of the cooling water should slow the process BUT what if I used colder water and added more heat? Would that increase output after everything stablilized? I'm currently using tap water for cooling. In winter a fan blowing on water container surface cools enough for recirculating but summer is a different story. Tap water is pretty warm so I've considered running tap water through a tank with large ice chunks and not recirculating the output. Maybe connect output water to yard sprinkler for reuse.

With my high capacity, it takes almost no time to achieve equilibrium. For a 13 gal. run useing a half keg, I take fores and heads off slow, then increase heat for the hearts run and average a gallon/hour. then when nearing tails, I sow it down till I am hitting tails, then speed it a s fast as she can handle. I have cool tap water from a spring, but your plan with the ice chunks should work well also.
