"Whats the best way to clarify a mash? I see several ways but don't know if anyone has experience.

Sparkaloid, gelatin, etc?"

Time.I know its hard to do when you first start,but the best thing to do is start quite a few ferments,and give them time to clear on there own.That way your not adding anything,and after a while,you will always have something cleared to run.
