"I bought the PH meter that brewhas sells and noticed after I used it there was liquid on the inside of the glass bulb of the electrode, is this normal or do I have a defective meter? Thanks"

"OK got my answer, a buddy had a pen type meter and his indeed has liquid in the bulb of the electrode. He also had detailed instructions on how to calibrate and rinse and store with a couple drops of buffer solution in the cap. He had a whole box of buffer solution packs and said a new pack needs to be used with each calibration. Large differences in PH readings could be due to lack of calibration, dry electrode or run down batteries. Avoid touching bulb at all times watch out for electrostatic discharges the electrode is sensitive to discharges. Still not sure of the wick type thing on the bottom."
