just started a corn and rye wash little bit ago collecting foreshoots now hopen for a good run today hydrometer starter at 1.080 ended up at .980 so lets show how it comes

it was 5 gals water 2.5 lbs corn meal 1.5 lbs rye flour 6 lbs sugar

How does the flour mix in? For some reason i thought it would just clump up.

How'd your run go? Just doing a third stripping run on second gen of popcorn recipe.

i just tossed it in to see if it chagne the taste it was crouse grained rye . it want good got 3 pints of hearst by the end nice taste smooth

Nice.
I tryed some rye meal last time i did grain. This time without it i find the flavor a little lacking. I think the rye adds quite a bit of character.
Thinking of trying an all rye next.

Ok..just realized all my fermenters is currently occupied. Guess I postpone the rye till some lazy fat boy runs a load..lol.

no big being down here i got a 18 gal feremnt with nothing in it lol hell about the only thing i do now is ferment still and talk on here

I cant drink all that much. Just proofed up near a gallon of 90-95 proof white dawg. That last me a day or two..unless Memorial Day comes up again..kick kick.

lol never know what you got till you try i started a 2gen corn and rye mash add white corn this time and yellow corn didnt have much lol
