Is there something in tomato sauce, as I have been using as yeast nutrient in wine making? Or are you guys just having fun with me. Please explain.

Tomato Paste and it is used a a nutrient in the wash. sugar and water alone wont cut it. The yeast have to have nutrients. Tomato Paste is noting but tomato pulp. Sauce has other ingredients."
