I teach small arms tactics and stratigies for CQB and long range applications. Not really a science.

"I went to school and got some fancy piece of paper that says i learned something. Mostly it just taught me how to teach myself more or less. So whoever can do that without spending the $$ has got a couple up on me.

This forum is about passion for the craft, and learning something on the way, that is what makes it great.

Is it after 5 yet?"

The chemistry of making beer, wine and whiskey is what has me hooked, The processes, plus the electrical and mechanical stuff is also very interesting.

I'm with you on this one, Scotty!

Running the rig just verifies/validates my chemistry. The whole starch => sugar => ethanol thing is a bottomless pit ... I wish I had more time to study ... and I wish I paid closer attention while I was in school! Education is wasted on youth! BigGrin

I am an infraction curator and have always like to learn new things. This seemed like fun so after several months of reading, and 12 months of practice it is getting to be a real good time. I do not mind the reading to fill in the blanks in my knowledge of the subject matter. Have a great Christmas.

This is the best thread I've seen on here in a while! I have to agree about the common sense idea. I have some family members with high IQ's that are the DUMBEST smart people I know. Yet those of us in the clan that score a little lower on the scale seem to be able to get by a lot better in life. Go figure.

It's not really a question of if's ya a scientist - It's whether or not they let ya in the durn lab! :)

In computers, we deny them access to anything more than an email address...

After a lifetime in my profession, I can say with absolution, it's about larn'n what NOT to do more so than what...

late to this thread, but wanted to chime in - It was a funnae read over lunch hour..
