Help. I have my fourth wash going. Molasses, brown sugar etc.I guess it is going great. I came home, tsook a reading, went to write it in my notebook with all the other washes info and the War Dept. had cleaned house and "accidentally thrown my notes away. Public canning? put her out to pasture? If I had any wits I would be at there end. Oh well guess i will just have a dram or two and get over it.

"Hokey,

I've had that happen ... it's a real bummer. Then I got one of those old-school lab notebooks ... the kind that have the sewn binding, with all of the pages numbered ... it's literally my ""little black book."" The family knows what it is, and knows better than to even look at it funny. Absent any natural disaster it should survive the next spring cleaning. Wink

Deepest condolences on the loss of the notes. Thankfully them things are sorta like other hard copy printed material..i.e. highly over rated..lol. We dont need no steeken notes around here. Capital idear you got there to have a wee dram and force the old wrinkled gray thing to cough up the factoids. I like the way you think Sir. Now back to the secondary inquiry of how to deal with obstinate ladies..Have you tried whipping her with a wet cotton rope..then putting Merthiolate on the red marks? That can really smart and give them a memory jogger on how to follow instructions next time. Or so I heard. Keeps us posted. Thanks.

Thanks for the support guys. I guess I will just use that as my excuse to get another batch going asap. By the way I think I will keep her. she has been around some forty years and this was her first mistake. lol
